For some people measuring up for your new flooring can seem a daunting task, but not to worry below you will find a guide on how to measure different shape rooms for different types of flooring, or you can call us and we will do it for free!

If your room is a square or rectangle it is as simple as measuring the width and length (make sure to measure into the door plate) as this is commonly forgotten and will result in your flooring falling short.

If your room is a unusual shape and goes around corners it is best to split it up into sections if you are ordering a plank style flooring, however if you are ordering carpet or vinyl your will still have to order the full length by the full width unless you are having them joined.
